First Van Gaal Signing By Tomorrow?

I'm not one for posting gossip, but this seems like it's the real deal now. Yesterday morning, an article appeared on the BBC Football web page that claims United are set to sign 24 year old centre midfielder, Ander Herrera, from Athletic Bilbao.

The transfer fee is said to be around £30m, which triggered a released clause in the Spanish players contract.

I have not seen much of Herrera in action besides our clash with Bilbao in the Europa League a couple of seasons ago. After some brief research on YouTube, I've seen that he's calm and creative on the ball and able to give some great supply to the forwards. Used in a system with Carrick's ability to retain possession and the deadly movement of Van Persie in front of him, this could be a highly effective method of getting the ball from centre back to centre forward in a matter of seconds.
