Should De Gea Start for Spain?

There's a large question mark looming over the goalkeeping position in the Spain squad.

No doubt, Iker Casillas is a legendary keeper. However, he was famously dropped by Mourinho in his time at Real Madrid and has not featured as frequently this season in comparison to previous years. There was also that howling mistake in the Champions League final!

To add more pressure, Spain conceded five goals to Louis Van Gaal's Dutch side last night, two of which were scored by Robin Van Persie. RVP's second came from a massive error on Casillas' behalf.

So the question is:
Does Casillas get dropped?

Because I know a more than capable keeper able to step up:

If David Dea Gea has proved anything this season, it is that he can be a stand out performer. The young man between the sticks was United's player of the season in a campaign that saw him having to deal with plenty of shots. It's likely he will be Spain's number one in future tournaments, so why not incorporate him into the team now?

It would be a bold move to drop the Spanish icon, but it could easily be justified.

What are your thoughts? Has Casillas "dropped the ball"? (If you'll pardon the pun). Has De Gea done enough to earn his chance?
